I questioned if they knew that milk calf replacer is formulated to be fed with calf starter and that calf starter feed should start at two days old. They assure me that they did, but noone else purchases calf starter.
There are other feeds that can be used in place of calf starter such as 12% all stock. Any feed that can be using for horse and mule all work in place of calf starter in a pinch, but only true calf starter is formulated for the use with bottle feeding calves milk replacers.
